My name is Jeannie
Bastasch and I am Greenwood's Physical Education teacher. I grew
up in Aptos, California, a "beach-bum" from birth. I received
my masters degree in teaching physical education from the University
of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1999. I've lived in Seattle for 4 years
and I enjoy hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and DESSERT!
I'm excited to offer
a diverse physical education curriculum that is health and fitness
focused and that emphasizes success and fun participation for all
students, regardless of skill level. Greenwood's PE program will
also feature after-school and evening opportunities for students
and families to celebrate fitness together.
