Hello Families, friends and students of Greenwood Elementary. If you don’t know me already I’m Ms. Miller and it is my 5th year at Greenwood. I’m teaching 3rd grade again in room 307. Greenwood is a great place to be a teacher and a kid! I spent a few weeks this summer as every summer learning new and better ways to teach. I can’t wait to show my new students what I have learned! I live in the Green Lake neighborhood and spent many hours walking the lake. I see many of you and your parents also walking the lake. Usually I am with my dog, Summer, a border collie mix that I got from paws. He is a “super senior” according to his doctor, and doing very well. I also have two rescue kitties that I like to write stories about. I have a couple of art decrees and embrace the arts and creativity. I love musicals and all kinds of music, and can be found singing in my classroom regularly.( The kids hate it J) I am an avid gardener, growing mostly ornamentals, especially lots of colorful flowers but also small vegetable crops every season except winter. I’m not just saying this because I am a teacher, I LOVE READING. I belong to a book group and we love to talk about the book just like I have the kids do in Readers Workshop. If you see me, say “hi”.
