All Greenwood Families
belong to the PTA!
If you have a child at Greenwood
elementary, the Greenwood PTA has already paid for your membership to
the Washington State PTA. It means you have a voice in every matter
decided by the PTA...how we spend money, how we raise money, and who
represents us on the PTA Board.
The PTA pays for our Art
and Music programs, sponsors events, clubs and assemblies for students.
Our major fundraisers are the Jog-a-Thon, the Direct Appeal and the
Auction.
Get involved and volunteer
if you can! Come to the next PTA meeting to learn more.
The next meeting will be:
Wednesday, November 14th, Pizza dinner at 6:00 pm,
meeting at 6:30 pm, in the Commons!
The Stars Are Out!
Support
our school in style with the new Greenwood Stars t-shirts and hoodies.
Adult size shirts come in beautiful brown and children's sizes are glowing
green, with the Greenwood Star proudly displayed. Hoodies, with the
star design on the back, come in charcoal for adults and dark blue for
children.
Proceeds benefit your Greenwood Elementary PTA--only $15 for shirts
and $25 for hooded sweatshirts.

See how we plan to spend the money we raised in the best fundraising
year Greenwood Elementary has ever enjoyed! For the first time, our
budget is over $100,000 - thanks to all the families, businesses and
school staff who contributed to our efforts this year.
Our key plans include:
- •More
classroom art instruction, aligned with general classroom work.
- More tutors
for Math and Literacy.
- Support for
more science instruction and programming
- Expanded
support for our extracurricular clubs - and a new foreign-language
club!
Welcome
new families! We are looking forward to another exciting school
year. The PTA is proud to be funding the Artists-in-Residence program,
which will allow us to offer art and music to all students. This year,
every 4th and 5th grade student will be able to receive instrumental
music instruction.
Unlike many
elementary schools, the Greenwood PTA waives membership dues for Greenwood
families. As a member of the PTA, you are part of a community that encourages
student achievements and enriches the learning environment. We believe
that together we can help all our children be successful.
